Role Overview:
You will provide high-level operational and strategic business planning and leadership to support the development and growth of the Primary Care service at Bupa Cromwell Hospital. This includes, GP and Primary Care services, health assessments and other associated clinics. Developing on the current success of the services, the Primary Care Manager will report into the Divisional Manager of Diagnostics, Outpatients and Primary Care.
What you’ll do:
Contribute to a primary care strategy, hospital strategy and health services strategy; formulate objectives and research and develop ideas for future development
Monitor and evaluate performance of the services and team against objectives; identify and manage change
Develop and maintain effective communication both within the GP practices, hospital and any third parties.
Prepare and review and deliver a continuous improvement plan for the services.
Assess and evaluate accommodation requirements and manage development and expansion plans
Keep abreast of current affairs and identify potential threats and opportunities
Provide strong visible leadership in partnership with the clinical and service leads.
Drive employee engagement and Customer/Patient Recommendation/Satisfaction across the services.
Convene staff meetings, prepare agendas and ensure distribution of minutes as necessary
Attend Partners/clinical meetings as agreed with partners.
Develop Practice protocols and procedures, review and update as required.
Adopt a strategic approach to the development and management of patient services
Ensure service development and delivery is in accordance with local and national guidelines (e.g., QOF, out of hospital contracts, network plans)
Ensure that the services comply with contractual obligations in relation to patient care
What You’ll Bring:
Educated to degree level or equivalent managerial experience
Competent in written and oral English
Evidence of ongoing continuous professional development
Experience of a primary care setting and stakeholder management
Experience of successful CQC inspection
Change management experience
High level communication skills
All aspects of people management skills
Excellent engagement skills with key stakeholders
