RM PRICING STRATEGY ANALYST

Should there be a price differential if a customer makes a booking over the phone or
online?
What information would you use to determine the variance in rate between General
Cargo and Critical Cargo?
How would you leverage IAG Cargo’s Network breadth during a global customer bid?

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be accountable for the definition and implementation of key elements of the IAG
Global Pricing Strategy, ensuring they are commercially viable and data-driven, to increase
revenue for the company. We will expect you to drive and track adherence to your initiatives,
working cross-functionally to optimise global pricing processes and values. You will set the
boundaries within which the entire business offers rates.

Completion of the below tasks will be essential to you excelling here;

  • Regular and ad-hoc analysis to support the setting of the global Pricing Strategy,
ensuring adherence of all regions to this
  • Work across Commercial teams to complete global tenders for key customers,
representing Revenue Management at discussions and tracking award utilization
  • Actively engage in the implementation of a new Pricing system at IAG Cargo
  • Support the business transition to increased online booking
  • Evaluate global fuel markets and costs, taking appropriate price actions as needed
  • Monitor revenue integrity and conformance measures, ensuring appropriate controls
are in place to maintain adherence to the global Pricing strategy
  • Identify and implement improvements to regional and global surcharge pricing
  • Monitor competitor activity across accountable areas and ensure rapid response to
changes in the competitive landscape.
  • Initiate and deliver business change and best practice methods across Commercial
  • Analyse and understand key business drivers to deliver effective decision-making
  • Review and influence system generated outputs to optimise performance
  • Work closely with commercial functions to identify and drive new initiatives
  • Understand our unique operational constraints and customer expectations, adapting
strategies to ensure we work within them and balance objectives
  • Contribute to the development of Revenue Management through continuous
improvement and project work

Experience and Qualifications

Essential –

  • Educated to degree level
  • Evidence of ability to make decisions and judgements based on detailed analysis
  • History of driving change identified from analysis and decisions
  • A strong team player with the energy and drive to achieve the team’s objectives

Desirable -

  • Experience working in Pricing or Revenue Management
  • Experience of working with other group departments, for example Sales
  • Experience of working with Cargo data sources (e.g. WACD, Seabury)
  • Understanding of the Cargo business
