About The Role
Destinations & Venues business segment accounts for approximately £70m of combined revenue, and covers Retail shopping centres, Venues and Events across the UK
The primary purpose of the role is to provide accurate and competitive cost estimates for both new and existing business within Retail, Venues and Events sector for OCS UK. Focus will be on the development of the contract specific cleaning, security and other facilities management pricing solutions to drive resource build and methodology inclusive of labour, machinery, technology and materials to deliver against customer specifications. There will be a need to closely align with Business Development, Operations, Bid Support, Finance and Commercial colleagues to form a seamless virtual team in this regard. Pricing Analyst will be responsible for leading the financial/pricing review on Bid ‘sign Off’s’ with the CFD & MD of Destinations & Venues. The Pricing Analyst, whilst reporting to the Commercial Finance Director, will provide commercial & finance support to the D&V business development team.
Responsibilities will include:
- Provide commercially sound and competitively priced solutions in support of bid/rebid activity using, for example, optimal cleaning and security methodology as appropriate to specification requirements and operational delivery
- Undertake site visits and surveys as appropriate to build site/contract specific solutions and schedules
- Review, understand and measure building plans to support completion of full cost estimates
- Use external/internal benchmarking data to support estimating process
- Develop and maintain internal benchmarking data
- Provide collateral in support of resource build/solution such as rosters/shift patterns/schedules for bid requirements as appropriate
- Work collaboratively with Heads of Service to identify innovative/alternative service solutions
- Work collaboratively with other service stream leads/estimators to identify opportunities for multi-skilling of roles to drive efficiency
- Develop plans/schedules and cost information to support mobilisation and transition process
- Support contract improvement process and retention through re-engineering and effective challenge to existing and suggested solutions, both within OCS and supply chain
- Maintain market and service knowledge and its application to our solutions through networking, industry affiliations and competitor awareness
Qualifications & Experience required:
- Degree level or equivalent preferred
- Professional Finance qualification preferred
- Demonstrable evidence of successful support to winning bids and contract retention
- Awareness and understanding of cleaning/security and general FM market across different sectors
- Awareness and understanding of different specifications and their impact on solution build
- Awareness & understanding of environment factors and their impact on solution build footfall/density/traffic/use/ etc.
- Awareness and understanding of alternative commercial models and impact on solution build
- Awareness and understanding of “price to win” approach
- Experience of delivering to strict deadlines.
- Experience of presenting information in a logical, and concise manner
- Involvement with the review of commercial elements of bids
