Working within the commercial team and reporting directly to the commercial director, the BI and pricing analyst will work closely with the tech teams to develop the BI functionality and toolkit, providing analysis and taking action to assist in the continuation of customer acquisition, volume growth and revenue optimisation.
As part of our commercial team, your role will be pivotal in driving the development of our business intelligence, reporting, and pricing capabilities. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting systematic price checks on comparable products across multiple markets and platforms, both manually and through automation.
- Generating daily pricing analysis, providing recommendations and interventions as needed.
- Analysing product, competitor and pricing benchmarks to identify gaps and opportunities.
- Assessing the impact of changes on price elasticity, conversion, and ROI on marketing spend across different platforms.
- Evaluating and reporting on the results of applied changes over time.
- Assisting in the development of the business BI reporting tools through a combination of internal systems development and 3rd party tools.
- Familiarising yourself with the business model and its KPIs.
- Recommending improvements to existing reports for enhanced management insight.
- Creating a daily dashboard and presenting key information through various reports.
- Applying your expertise to different product margins, with a particular focus on car hire, hotels, and holiday accommodations.
About You:
- Excellent numeracy and data processing skills.
- Passion for mathematics and statistics.
- Reporting experience, preferably with PowerBI or similar.
- Excellent Excel skills.
- Motivated and enthusiastic problem solver.
- Ambitious and determined to drive company performance.
- Background in reporting, data analysis, and/or pricing.
- Preferably based in the UK.
- Technical knowledge advantageous, such as SQL, a programming language, and databases.
