OneFile, a Harris Computer company, are currently recruiting for a Pre-Sales Consultant on a remote, permanent basis. This position will have national coverage involving travelling to client sites and will be undertaken remotely with the requirement to work out of our Manchester office circa 2/3 times per month.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established B2B EdTech software organization as a Technical Pre-Sales Consultant. An exciting opportunity for an experienced industry professional with strong core technical and communication skills to join and add value to a dedicated and friendly team.
The role is primarily responsible for demonstrating the OneFile solutions to new and existing customers.
Responsible for actively driving and managing the pre-sales process with new business customers, you must be able to articulate the company’s technology and product portfolio, positioning to both business and technical users. You will provide technical assistance and guidance during the pre-sales process by identifying customers’ technical and business requirements, prior to designing a solution, consulting with technical teams about capabilities, and supporting business sales teams, account managers and partners on proposal activities.
In addition, you will represent the company at external events, provide valuable input to our product team in terms of market requirements and assist the marketing team with value based messaging.
Duties & Responsibilities
In performing this role your core duties and responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):
· Attending meetings with potential Clients to determine technical and business requirements and ensuring that all necessary information is collated prior to producing a solution
· Demonstrating OneFile’s suite of products and technologies effectively to audiences of varied technical knowledge. Creating optimum product demonstrations to identify key benefits for customers
· Delivering training on solutions and providing product support to channel partners and internal stakeholders
· Being a key contributor to the Bid Team, where relevant
· Working with Product Management to feedback on issues with current products and provide input around new products
· Liaising with marketing to assist in the launch of new products, translating key features into benefit led messaging
· Providing accurate and timely management information, to include - activity reports, bid reviews, project forecasts, KPI’s
What we are looking for
· An in depth working knowledge of SAAS software, ideally with an Eportfolio in the EdTech sector
· A clear and articulate communicator – both spoken and written
· Someone comfortable working with hosting technologies including Azure based server systems, network storage systems and data centre services
· Previous experience of requirements gathering, design and solution building and the ability to replicate this in a commercial setting
· An organised and analytical individual, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches
Travel Requirements
Note: Applicants must hold a valid UK driving license and their own vehicle to be able to undertake this position as circa 40% of the client support is provided on-site, in-person as opposed to circa 60% being delivered remotely. Overnight stays will be required as per the businesses requirements.
