Well known and one of the leading players in the industry, an integrated Telecommunications company is seeking a Pre-sales Consultant to contribute to the already established success of the business. Providing innovative technology solutions for businesses across the UK with a clear focus on growth and sustainability, development and demand within core areas of the business has led way to growth and a need for new areas of expertise and skillset.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a solid history of pre-sales, specifically within the telecommunications industry, together with exhibiting excellent communication skills and stakeholder management skills.
The Role:
This role will suit a strategic and pragmatic forward-thinker, someone who is able to use their technical understanding and product knowledge to pre-empt and decipher what customers need. The goal is to develop a tailor-made, bespoke package of solutions to suit existing and prospective customers.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Develop a great understanding of product knowledge and the ability to identify and cater to customers’ needs within Telecoms and IT, and design effective solutions for them
· Act as the expert link between technical, sales and operations during the pre-sales process
· Effective project management from handover to delivery, with necessary documentation to support and sign off
· Effective stakeholder management of all levels, with the ability to communicate effectively and influence decision making
· Provide technical support and advice for customer demos, trials and sales opportunities
· Be an ambassador of the company in promoting company values and displaying high levels of expertise and professionalism
· Seek to constantly improve through relevant on the job training and development
Experience:
· Demonstrable experience in a pre-sales capacity within the telecommunications industry (essential)
· History of working in a client facing role, delivering product information and demonstrations
· Excellent communication and presentation skills, emulating professionalism in all situations
· Knowledge and understanding of deployment models – Hosted, On-Premises, Cloud and Hybrid (Remote)
· Demonstrable understanding of MPLS, SD-WAN, SIP and Trunking
Skillset:
· Confident disposition with the ability to establish and maintain strong and professional customer and internal stakeholder relationships
· A problem-solver with a strategic approach to finding solutions
· Strong network design and architecture skills (desirable)
· The ability to prioritise workload and multi-task effectively in meeting deadlines and SLAs
· Highly enthusiastic with high attention to detail
· Methodical and process-driven in achieving targets and exceeding expectations
