Pre-Registration Nurse (Overseas Nursing Programme) Norwich, England

Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
Full Time Norwich, England 25147 - 34581 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (NNUH) are excited to invite applications from Pre-Registration Nurses. If you are a compassionate and skilled nurse looking for an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients in Norfolk, we want you!

We are seeking dedicated nurses to join our team and provide high-quality care to our patients. You will have the opportunity to work with patients from diverse backgrounds and gain a valuable experience within the NHS. You should have a passion for providing patient-centred care and be committed to your own professional development.

We welcome applications from those who are resident in the UK but qualified overseas, as well as those who are resident overseas and in possession of a Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Decision letter.

In order for your application to be considered, you:

  • must be registered and practicing with at least one year's post registration experience
  • must have passed the CBT and English language requirements
  • must be in receipt of your NMC decision letter
https://www.nmc.org.uk/registration/joining-the-register/register-nurse-midwife/trained-outside-uk/.

In your supporting statement please include your area or specialty of preference including a first, second and third choice. Please also remember to include the date you have completed your CBT and details of your English language results.

NNUH is really keen on career progression. We encourage every single member of our teams to achieve their potential. Many of our registered nurses have gone on to be specialist nurses or to work in other exciting roles with the wider hospital and we fully support this.

There are a range of exciting projects to get involved in as we further enhance our services for the future. We are also a major teaching and research hospital and are passionate about developing nursing educational pathways.

At NNUH, our vision is to provide every patient with the care we want for those we love the most. Lots of exciting developments are happening here at our large acute Trust.

You will be supported by our Practice Development and Education colleagues as part of our local collaboration of NHS Trusts who will deliver a mixture of classroom, theory and practical training to prepare you to sit your OSCE test and apply for NMC Registration. We also have an NNUH Buddy support Network led by Practice Development and Education with previous International recruited nurses who have been through the OSCE programme.

Following your interview, you will be appointed as a pre-registration nurse (Agenda for Change Band 4) and progress to a Registered Nurse (Agenda for Change Band 5) upon receipt of your NMC registration.

We attract some of the best and leading professionals from across the country and are proud that our workforce represents 94 countries from across the world. We are a friendly, collaborative hospital, working with local services and are home to N&N Hospitals Charity.

As an employee, you will have access to a free fast track staff physiotherapy service, multi faith prayer room, discounted gym memberships, flexible working arrangements, excellent pension scheme, on site nursery, on site restaurants, delis and cafes offering staff discounts.

We also have inclusive forums such as our LGBT+ Network, and our NNUH Together Staff Network, open to staff across the Trust who not only identify as being from within the BAME community, but also those who are not BAME to socialise and create initiatives and policy that will benefit the professional development of colleagues across NNUH.

Please view the attached job description for full details of the role and use your supporting statement to confirm how you meet the essential and desirable criteria on the job specification.
