How is the programme structured?

Joining Modus on the Pre-Contracts team, you will ensure that each aspect of our extraordinary projects is possible: that’s what you’ll do on this programme.

You will be involved in all stages of our work. Through a combination of on-the-job experience and continual development, we offer a unique learning ground for graduates to help us bring our projects to life.

You will help to develop plans for key valuation activities, preparing costing and valuation proposals, reviewing technical specifications, and responding to tenders and quotations. All the time making sure that we comply with industry regulations and statutory health, safety, and environmental requirements.

Here with Modus, you will learn how to deliver effective and timely solutions – from initial project definition and brief, to design cost appraisal, procurement, construction and building use. You will work with clients and construction professionals as part of multi-disciplinary teams, all of which will set you up for a great career ahead.

What will be the main duties & responsibilities?

You will be working very closely with a Pre-Construction Manage. You will:

  • Attend site visits with Pre-Construction Manager and First Appointments to take notes and brief on new projects; learn how to survey a site with measurements etc via a site survey checklist
  • Create bid lists for projects for the supply chain we will enquire prices from
  • Create tender to be issued to supply chain
  • Assist in creating scope of works and collating costs for works
  • Assist in carrying out take offs for measurements
  • Assist in putting together programmes in Microsoft Projects
  • Attend Presentations to shadow Pre-Construction and start to progress having a contribution to the Pitch
  • Coordinate with Design team to ensure design has been captured in scope of work
  • Coordinate with Graphics assisting the Pre-Construction on the final product
