Practice Nurse
About the role
As a Practice Nurse you will manage minor illness and triage using a range of clinical assessment skills including history-taking, physical examination, and cognitive assessment . You will work closely with the Advanced Nurse Prescriber to meet the needs of the patients as well as working collaboratively with the Corporate Health Service Team in managing their priorities.

As a Practice Nurse, you will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of a safe and effective treatment service for all Harrods employees. Using skills to deliver the highest standards of care in accordance with evidence-based practice and national practice protocols to all Harrods employees.

You will provide treatment room service, including assessing and giving treatments as well as advice, signposting individuals appropriately to private services, NHS services, and emergency call-out service.
You will manage treatment room facilities, including regular checks of equipment, calibration, stock checks, and ordering of stock. You will be up to date with, and follow guidelines regarding cold chain ensuring safe storage, rotation, and disposal of vaccines and drugs, and that adequate stock levels are maintained.
You will also initiate and conduct programmes of health screening as agreed with the clinical team.
More specifically, we are looking for:
- A Registered General Nurse on the Nursing Midwifery Council register.
- Has demonstrable previous nursing experience in primary care, including chronic disease management, minor illness management and immunisation.
- A good team player with exemplary communication skills and 'can-do' attitude.
- Can deal with pressure and demanding situations and remains composed under such circumstances.
- Previous experience working in Accident and Emergency/Women's health would be advantageous, but is not essential.
