Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Practice Manager within the Organisational Safeguarding Lead Dols Team to work full time based in Waltham Forest.

The salary for this permanent Practice Manager job is up to £46,857 per annum.

Main duties:

  • Undertake roles and responsibilities in relation to Statutory Safeguarding duties including, Section 42 enquires, Safeguarding Adult Manager Roles, Risk assessment, and Safeguarding adult meetings.
  • Offer specialist and expert safeguarding advice and guidance to Social Workers, colleagues, other professionals, and partner agencies as required.
  • Mentor support and support others in their development Assess the professional practice of others to ensure required standards are achieved, offering guidance as appropriate.
  • Prioritise Safeguarding interventions.
  • Maintain properly documented case files, records and information.
  • Prepare detailed reports as required on safeguarding related Topics.
  • Carry out all duties with an expert awareness and understanding of the Safeguarding requirements within area of responsibility.
  • Proactively develop professional knowledge, skills and behaviours.
  • Act in accordance with all policies and procedures which apply to the job and understand the reasons for this.
  • Contribute to the Strategic Development of the Service. Undertake service planning and service review activities.
  • To embed the principal of Making Safeguarding Personal within Adult Safeguarding.
  • In close cooperation with the Team Manager, manage and oversee a specialist organisational Safeguarding process within the London Borough of Waltham Forest.
  • Through careful and detailed analysis, of Safeguarding data identify and act upon issues of negligence, neglect or poor practice by organisations that support adults with care and support needs.
  • Work closely with other departments to develop and embed structure, policies, and processes.
  • To ensure that Safeguarding interventions are driven by person centred and empowering approach.
  • To offer expert advice coaching and mentoring to more junior members of staff, this include the formal supervision of social workers.
  • To contribute to the continuing development of Waltham Forests Organisation Safeguarding process. This may include updating systems and processes to ensure best practice as defined by legislation and Guidance.
  • To work closely with colleagues in contracts and commissioning to monitor and effectively intervene when Safeguarding concerns within organisations occur.
  • To assist in development of service improvement plans, to assist in the monitoring of service improvement plans.
  • To support safeguarding duties in specialist areas. I.e Modern Slavery and honour-based abuse.
  • As required to interpret analysis and feedback on Safeguarding data to others such as senior management and the Safeguarding Adults Board.

Requirements of this Practice Manager job:

  • A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Continual professional development.
  • Social Work England registered.
  • Experience within Adult Social Work.
