An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced PR Manager to join the Marketing Department at The Ivy Collection & The Ivy Asia.
The Ivy Collection opened its first restaurant in late 2014, now with a portfolio of over 51 sites including The Ivy Chelsea Garden, The Ivy Spinningfields in Manchester, and The Ivy Buchanan Street in Glasgow. Restaurants are located both within London and across the UK, as well as Internationally in Dublin. The Ivy Asia currently operates eight, Asian-inspired restaurants, situated in London, Guildford, Manchester, Brighton, Cardiff, and Leeds.
The PR Manager will work across a selection of sites and will report to the Group Head of Communications. A key focus of the role is to protect and promote the brands. The PR Manager will be tasked with positioning the brands in a fitting and effective manner to drive sales through specific media stories and calls to action, plus ensuring we are relevant with customers at all times.
The key responsibilities of the PR Manager will include:
Assisting with the development and execution of a comprehensive annual PR strategy for each brand. This will be overseen by the Group Head of Communications and will be fully aligned with each site’s marketing plan- Conducting proactive and strategic press activity – creating, updating and sending out press releases, briefing and managing media interviews
- Developing and executing comprehensive PR plans, tailored to each site, campaign and activation
- Establishing and maintaining key relationships with press, influencers, agents and public relations contacts
- Overseeing influencer marketing strategies
- Managing PR agencies, both within London and regionally – approvals, setting and tracking agency KPIs, regular calls and meetings
- Identifying the need and angle for press events/dinners for specific restaurants and organising them from A to Z
- Producing high-impact press coverage that raises awareness of the brand amongst its target audiences and in keeping with the brand’s communications strategy
- Trend mapping within the press and assisting with story creation
- Working with the marketing team to identify key opportunities by site to support brand awareness
- Attend and host media events as required
The ideal PR Manager will:
Have a minimum of 5-6 years’ experience within the PR industry- Currently be a Press Manager or a highly experienced Communications Manager within a high-quality restaurant, leisure, press agency or hospitality group
- Have a strong understanding of the food and beverage industry and of our brands
- Have a passion for restaurants and the general food and beverage scene within the UK
- Be a highly effective copywriter and experienced press release writer
- Have experience of managing PR agencies
- Have previous team management experience
- Be highly flexible, organised and able to adapt to changing needs in a seamless way
- Have the ability to multi task and effectively prioritise workload
- Have a creative mindset
- Be a team player
