PowerBI Data Analyst (12 month secondment)

Edinburgh or Dundee based: Hybrid working arrangements - 2 days per week in the office and the rest from home
Salary & Benefits: £45,054 to £55,066 base salary, depending on experience.
Additional Package: Annual personal bonus, 15% employer pension contribution (when you put in 6%), flexible benefits system, private medical insurance, 28 days holiday plus bank holidays.

This role sits within a newly created reporting team embedded within one of our multidisciplinary platform teams, the Pensions, Stockbroking & Distribution (PS&D) platform, which is part of Insurance, Pensions and Investments at Lloyds Banking Group.
Specifically, we’re the insight function supporting the Scottish Widows Platform Operations team providing direct support to the Customer Services Director.
We can offer this initially as a 12 month secondment, however we hope to be able to make this role permanent over time.
What will you focus on in this role?
You’ll support the Senior PowerBI Analyst to produce Management Information & other ad-hoc reporting using PowerBI, Excel & other formats as required.
You’ll provide forecasting & planning insight via your reporting around associated costs; understanding the level of resource required to meet demand; undertaking detailed analysis of drivers of demand and business processes; and producing data analysis and insight. In order to do this you’ll need to interpret data from different sources and manage the efficient and effective production of high-quality information, analysis and research.
Specific tasks might include some of the following;
- Support Platform Operation with high quality data analysis:
- Operational Dataset and Dashboard Building:
- Produce Insightful and Accurate Regular Reporting:
- Support with Operational Resource & Demand Forecasting:
- Help Implement a Culture of Data-led Decision Making:
So what experience & skills do I need to apply?
Lloyds Banking Group is made up of people from a range of roles and industry backgrounds, for this particular role we’ll be looking for the following within your application;
Prior experience within a similar role. For example that might be PowerBI Analyst, Management Information Analyst, Data Analyst or other Reporting focused role. We find this level of role often suits people with up to five years experience, but happy to consider more! Experience using PowerBI, in combination with M Query & DAX. Intermediate level of skill required in each. Good skill in MS Excel Prior experience of financial data, customer information or performance management information would be very helpful.
