Powder coating daily production through one of our main track ovens.

Assisting in general workshop duties and the preparation/cleaning of work for powder coating.

Helping to maintain contract deadlines, and customer expectations.

We are a small family-owned powder coating firm which was established in April 2014. Although we are small, we focus on offering our customers the quickest service possible. We are based in the Medway City Estate in at 6500 sq ft unit and have currently just moved into our new premises in June 2022 which has allowed us to expand our capabilities, quality and to enable us to better serve our customers.

We are continuously looking to expand the business and now in need of an experienced powder coater to join the team.

We offer our customers powder coating in both Polyester and Nylon powder coating Phosphate Pre-Treatment and Shot Blasting services.

MAIN DUTIES

  • Powder coating
  • Preparation of products ready for powder coating
  • Maintain & assist in keeping the workshop and yard clean.
  • Wrapping & packing of finished powder coated work.
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of vehicles.
  • Assisting the Operations Manager/Supervisors in the running of the workshop carrying out a variety of duties throughout the day.
  • Take on reasonable additional or different duties when asked to meet our reasonable business needs.

JOBHOLDER REQUIREMENTS

  • 4 years of powder coating experience (spraying)
  • Forklift License (preferable but not essential)
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Excellent ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Accurate with good attention to detail.
  • Ability to forward think and plan ahead
  • Proactive and willingness to learn

Hours of work:

7am until 5pm, Monday to Friday (half hour unpaid lunch, with paid breaks)

Contracted to 47.5hr per week

Job Type:

Full-time. permanent

SALARY

£13.90 per hour (£34,333 Yearly Basic)

Wages are paid monthly on or before 28th of each calendar month.

Probation 6 months.

OVERTIME

Will be available during the week and at weekends

Time + quarter is paid during the week

Time + half during weekends

Double time on Sundays
