Job description
We are seeking applications from Microbiologists to work in a multidisciplinary project team to study the behaviour of microbes and biofilms at surfaces. You should have a PhD in Microbiology, Molecular Biology or Bio-Imaging techniques, with a strong publication track record and a demonstrated commitment to excellence. Candidates should have experience working with microbes, biofilms well as in molecular biology. Experience in related areas such as confocal microscopy, other cell imaging techniques, bioinformatics and `omics will be advantageous.
The position involves both research and innovation aspects and is available on a fixed term basis initially for 1 year, with the option to extend.
Any applicants who are still awaiting their PhD to be awarded should be aware that if successful, they will be appointed at grade 6, spine point 30. Upon written confirmation that they have been successful in being awarded their PhD, they will be moved onto grade 7, spine point 31 from the date of their award.
