Job description
The University of Liverpool is a member of the prestigious Russell Group of leading research universities in the UK.
We are looking to recruit a Research Fellow to work on the Healthcare Grant: TRIAL: Treatment of Respiratory Infections with inhaled Antimicrobials. Respiratory infectious diseases are the leading cause of death in the developing countries and the third leading cause of death world-wide. The emergence of the coronavirus disease COVID-19 has posed a significant challenge for global health systems and has highlighted the lack of treatment options available to mitigate these infections. The aim of TRIAL is to design and test polymeric drug delivery vehicles tethered with antimicrobials which will deliver the requisite therapeutic dose to tackle viral and bacterial infections in a controlled manner. The grant is in collaboration with the University of Oxford Respiratory Infection Group.
