Job description

The postholder shall provide a cross-borough postal delivery and collection service based from Birch Hill Hospital, Rochdale. The postholder will be required to drive the postal van to different sites across the Trust footprint of Rochdale, Oldham, Bury, Tameside and Stockport. The postholder will complete collections / deliveries according to a daily schedule based on requests sent through to the transport helpdesk from our staff. Additional postal duties will include franking and sorting mail. The postholder will need to be adaptable, friendly, able to work on their own initiative and be passionate about delivering great customer service.

• To carry out an internal cross-borough postal service through the collection, sorting and delivery of cross-borough post to / from designated locations in Tameside, Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, Stockport and similar areas.
• To carry out the franking of external mail as required
• To operate the franking machine in accordance with Trust and manufacturers’ instructions and to report any faults or problems as soon as

possible when in use.

• To sort internal and external mail within the Trust Headquarters post

room as required.

• To deliver medical records / patient notes to designated locations as per

a daily route list as required.

• To operate the postal vehicle in accordance with Trust policy.

The postholder will be joining the facilities team which sits in the Capital Investment and Estates Services department at Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust, delivering all soft FM services across the Trust. The team are passionate about ensuring we provide high-quality and effective facilities services to our staff and service users.
