This is an temporary bank porter role, based at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Glossop Road, Sheffield S10 2JF.
Hours: 37.5hrs Monday – Sunday. You must be able to commit to a rota between 6am – 9pm (6am – 2pm, 7am – 3pm, 8am – 4pm, 9am – 5pm, 11am -7pm, 12 – 8pm)
Pay : £10.37 - £18.97 per hour plus accrued holiday pay
Responsibilities will cover several areas such as:
- To be responsible for the regular and sufficient removal of general, recycling, and clinical waste.
- To ensure all waste streams are segregated, handled, and disposed of in line with the site requirements.
- To comply with the health and safety procedures when moving waste around the site.
- Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received.
The skills required are
- Happy to be in a fast-paced physical role
- A good understanding of spoken and written English language
- Strong communication skills
- Full UK Driving license preferably
- Eye for detail
- Food hygiene knowledge
- Trained in Manual Handling
