Who you’ll be working with:

Our client, Thames Water is the UK’s largest water and wastewater company. They make a daily difference to 15 million customers by supplying 2.6 billion litres of water through 32,000 km of pipes, keeping taps flowing and toilets flushing.

An exciting opportunity to join a newly mobilised transformation programme that is looking to deliver a step change in performance. Thames Water is facing a significant challenge with its leakage position and to support its commitment to resolve the challenge, all ongoing efforts are now to be coordinated through a single programme of transformational change.

The scope of the programme shall cover all aspects of Leakage from prevention and awareness through to locating and mending and the needed changes for people, its operating model and technology.

The PMO lead will support the Programme Manager in setting up and managing the PMO functions.

You will support with activities covering, but not limited to coordinating meetings, agendas, creating presentations, administering the programme level RAID, delivery plan, actions tracking, minute-taking, onboarding, activity planning and general programme support.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assisting with the running and management of the PMO on a day-to-day basis
  • Co-ordinating workstreams and activities ensuring consistency
  • Managing and proactively identifying risks/issues/dependencies
  • Coordinating agendas, minutes, actions & follow-ups and maintaining programme/projects plans
  • Developing presentations and outward reporting
  • Promoting the PMO project management methodology and standards, and the implementation of best project management practice
  • Providing and delivering reports, presentations, and analysis of data as necessary
  • Liaising with key stakeholders as required to support the delivery governance
  • Supporting the delivery of targeted communications back to the business to enhance engagement

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience of working in a PMO or project delivery environment
  • Previous experience of supporting projects and programmes
  • Proven experience in RAID Management
  • Experience creating and maintaining project plans
  • A proactive approach to activities – solutions focused
  • Ability to build lasting relationships with key stakeholders
  • Fully competent with all MS applications

This is initially estimated to be a 26-week assignment, offering a daily rate of £450 (Please note that this will be Inside IR35)
