A role responsible for supporting the PMO range of activities to enable the effective and timely delivery of projects within the workstreams of a programme. This includes providing administrative support, producing reporting MI and the required material for all governance and control activities.

It will support the project management community embedding of PMO methods, tools and best practices across all programmes.

The role will facilitate resource capacity planning and budget tracking, providing relevant support to Project / Programme Managers.

This role will contribute to identification and mitigation of relevant risks associated to the programme through timely and accurate reporting and effective dependency management.

  • Building strong working relationships with programme team members and stakeholders in order to support effective delivery of PMO responsibilities.

  • Developing a clear view of what the project delivery teams and the business require as customers from a PMO function.

  • Maintaining PMO standards to ensure programme customer needs are met.

  • Demonstrating awareness of the financial services industry and its regulatory environment

  • Taking accountability for tracking mitigating activity by risk and issue owners, taking responsibility to individual risks as directed by the PMO or Programme Manager.

  • Contributing to the accurate completion of day to day governance activities (ORAs, update of logs and documentation) to ensure risks are effectively managed and escalated as appropriate.

What you’ll bring.

  • PMO and/or project management experience within a large project or programme

  • Familiarity with project management methodologies

It would also be nice for you to have.

  • Strong interpersonal skills - persuades and influences others, using a range of approaches, to achieve deliverables.

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Experience maintaining risk and issues registers, coordinating status reporting and producing program

  • Knowledge of Microsoft office and PPM tools

What else you need to know

The role is an initial 12 month Fixed Term contract with the potential to go permanent

The role is working Monday to Friday 35 hours a week
