John Wright Electrical & Mechanical Services Ltd are one of Yorkshire’s largest Electrical, Plumbing & Heating contractors who supply, install, commission and maintain a wide variety of services in the commercial, industrial and domestic sectors. Due to continuous expansion, we are looking for Plumbers, Heating engineers, Mates & Teams to join our Mechanical division. We have an almost full order book for 2023 so looking to add some top-quality engineers to our team to complete contracts throughout the UK.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit enthusiastic and hardworking plumbing & heating engineers to our team. A full and current driving licence is essential for the role.

Required Attributes/Skills:

Requirements and skills

  • Proven experience as a plumber
  • Solid understanding of water distribution and disposal systems in residential, commercial and industrial buildings
  • Working knowledge of heating and ventilation systems
  • Ability to handle plumbing tools and equipment including crimp fittings. (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, plungers etc.)
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Friendly with a great deal of patience
  • Good physical condition and strength with the ability to work in awkward spaces
  • Diploma from a trade school or successful completion of apprenticeship
  • Valid license to practice profession
  • Cut, assemble, and install pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure
  • Install and maintain water supply systems
  • Locate and repair issues with water supply lines (e.g. leaks)
  • Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains.
  • Install and maintain liquid heating systems
  • Install waste disposal and sanitary systems.
