Job description
Duties/Responsibilities
- To maintain and keep clear all internal drainage systems
- To replace filters on a PM schedule
- To repair and replace fixtures and fittings on toilets
- Minor plumbing tasks
- To work with the plumbers on larger scale tasks
- Ensure that all safe systems of work and risk assessments are appropriate for the tasks at hand
- Provide regular updates to your supervisor/line manager
- Ensure that all jobs are attended too/completed within the set time frame
- Must be able to work on your own or as part of a team
Customer Service
- Respond to emergencies within the designated timeframes.
- Demonstrate an excellent understanding of the principles of providing excellent customer service.
- Remain customer focused at all times and being aware of the needs of the customer.
- Demonstrate the ability to remain calm in stressful/difficult situations and remaining polite and courteous at all times.
Procedures and Processes
- Take the initiative to ensure that all processes, procedures and systems are carried out to the highest standard and ensuring that the service provided is in line with company standard. Attend departmental meetings and training sessions and operate in accordance with the instructions received.
Workplace Health and Safety
- Ensure all plumbing equipment is securely stored and maintained in a condition suitable for next use.
- Report any damage or breakage of property.
- Ensure that precautions are taken to protect property.
- Ensure all security measures are taken where applicable.
- Ensure all maintenance and services of equipment is conducted on a regular basis and assure all set safety & security procedures are adhered to.
- Ensure that safety rules and procedures are followed at all times and takes corrective action to improve safety of work areas.
Person Specification
- Good temperament and be polite and courteous
- Smart, presentable appearance
- Highly motivated self-starter, with an adaptable and flexible approach
- High standards of personal integrity and professionalism with the adaptability to change
- Ability to think and react to immediate problems and issues without losing sight of or compromising long term goals
- Ability to gather information from all relevant sources
- The individual must be willing to undergo DV clearance
