Here at UPP we have an opportunity for a Multi Skilled Technician (Plumber) to work as part of our team at Nottingham University in providing both a planned and responsive maintenance service specialising in plumbing and mechanical repairs.
This is a permanent full-time position working between the hours of 8am-9pm on a a varying 6 week shift pattern. The salary is up to £31,000 per annum depending on experience and qualifications.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance in accordance with the agreed schedule.
- Maintain accurate records of breakdowns and maintenance repairs, including records for statutory compliance
- Liaise with specialist sub-contractors
- Report any Health and Safety issues relating to the residence ensuring all information is passed to the relevant Manager(s)
- Undertake training as required
We are looking for you to have worked in a similar role and environment with great communication and organisation skills, along with the passion to do a great job.
In addition, you will have a good understanding of the operational procedures and safe working practices of building services and systems as well as good understanding of health and safety, with the ability to always work in a safe manner.
You will also be prepared to work (with notice) additional hours when needed, especially during the main student arrival and departure weekends.
