Job description

Multi Trades Recruitment are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Plumbing Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and minor works service, overseeing a wide range of mechanical equipment in large industrial units, including dual fired boilers, heating and ventilation distribution equipment, and other critical systems. This role requires expertise in analysing, testing, and repairing various mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities:

Perform maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a variety of mechanical equipment, including heating equipment, ventilation systems, domestic hot water equipment, compressors, medical gas systems, and building management system control equipment.
Conduct fault finding on complex medical gas systems, pressure heating water systems, critical systems, and pressurized steam systems using cause-effect analysis and detailed examination.
Follow Health Technical Memoranda (HTM) guidelines, including HTM 2022 (Medical Gases), HTM 2027 (Water Supplies), HTM 2040, and relevant statutory compliance requirements such as Pressure Systems Regulations 2000 and ACOP L8.
Execute planned preventative maintenance activities and complete all necessary report sheets, test certificates, and drawing alterations.
Utilize specialized tools, equipment, and safety guidelines to carry out work, ensuring compliance with Engie Guidelines and Controls, including risk assessment, site safety, fire safety, control of infection, and hazardous substances.

Qualifications and Experience:

Completion of an appropriately recognized Mechanical/Engineering apprenticeship, C&G, Scotvec (SVQ3), or equivalent.
Good secondary education, including Mathematics and English.
Demonstrated experience in working with mechanical systems and equipment.
Flexible approach to working within a team environment.
