Job description

We are currently looking for an experienced Plumber to be a part of our successful Response Maintenance Business based in Godalming. The team specialise in day to day repairs and maintenance and the refurbishment of void properties for a reputable Social Housing client with homes based between Farnham and Cranleigh.

Duties and responsibilities of the Plumber role:

  • Completion of 2nd fix plumbing and associated repairs work within social housing/residential premises.
  • Specifically, you’ll be completing a target output of 6 jobs per day, attending reactive, emergency and routine repairs as well as planned refurbishment jobs on occasions.
  • Typical repairs can include broken taps, leaking pipes, drainage unblocks, and general kitchen and bathroom repair works.
  • The ability to work professionally and considerately within people’s homes in a customer facing environment

Expectations of the successfully appointed Plumber:

  • Qualified to an NVQ 2 level in Plumbing and Heating or able to demonstrate the level of skills and experience required to be successful in the role
  • Experience in domestic plumbing, including copper piping and other trade domestic repairs
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work professionally and considerately in a range of residential environments, including vulnerable tenant’s homes within Social Housing settings
  • Motivated and flexible in your approach to work. You’ll be able to work to individual and team output targets.
  • Possession of a full current UK Driving licence, which is essential to undertake the Plumber role, with the use of a company van and fuel card.
