Job description
ASTERIX UK are seeking a skilled MULTI TRADE PLUMBER, to join the business and complete all elements of plumbing for the business (do not need to be Gas Safe Reg). The works are for the Maintenance Team and small elements of project works.
This is consistent and full time work - and comes with a company vehicle. Due to the current workload - this is for an immediate start.
The ideal candidate would have an additional skill set outside of plumbing and prepared to work within a team to assist the continued growth of the business.
MAINTENANCE
we complete re-active / callout maintenance for several UK clients within the Care, Hospitality and Retail Sectors. We full within the Shopfitting industry - so someone with commercial / Shopfitting experienced would be preferred, due to the demands within the industry and the requirements of the client.
You will require to have a UK driving licence - and works will involve driving to multiple sites / address's. ALL driving is paid at normal rate to ensure the works benefit the individual.
PROJECTS
We complete elements of plumbing / project works at this stage. Installing water feeds / waste for toilets and sinks. Installing water feeds / waste for Staff Canteens - and install under / over sink water heaters.
We are looking to grow this side of the business - once we find the correct plumbing team. We have the opportunity for rapid growth due to the clients we have, but want to build the team first
We offer paid training and certification for all engineers to ensure the job is not just about working - we look to forward the engineers learning and certification. We also look to promote within the existing team - so there are opportunities for progression & promotion within the business.
This role / Job does involve a mix of Day, Night and Weekend Works. And we request for engineers (if required) to work / start away. This will be discussed and agreed in advance.
Following a successful trial period we then introduce additional rates, company perks with performance bonus and personal mileage allowance for the company van.

Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures in residential and commercial buildings
- Perform pipe threading, cutting, and soldering to connect pipes and fittings
- Troubleshoot plumbing issues and provide effective solutions
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as HVAC technicians and carpenters, to complete remodeling projects
- Assemble and install plumbing fixtures, such as sinks, toilets, showers, and water heaters
- Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to identify potential problems or areas for improvement
Experience:
- Proven experience as a plumber or in a related field
- Familiarity with remodelling projects and carpentry work is a plus
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver's license for commercial driving purposes
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required
