The Role:
Due to continued growth, Irish Salt Mining requires a full-time plant operator. This involves driving 40 tonne articulated dump trucks and other heavy plant, based underground at the Irish Salt Mines in Carrickfergus.
Essential Criteria:
Minimum 1 years’ previous experience in driving an articulated dump truck.
Knowledge of Health and Safety, and ability to comply with safety regulations, instructions and risk assessments.
Must be able to complete pre-start checks on machinery.
Positions will be subject to passing a company medical.
Available to work shifts and overtime when required.
Current driving licence.
Desirable Criteria:
Experience of operating a Front-End loading shovel and other heavy plant would be advantageous.
Previous experience working in a quarry or mining environment would also be advantageous.
You do not require an HGV licence for this position.
Hours of Work:
41 hours per week on a shift pattern between the hours of 0600 and 1830 Monday to Friday.
