Job Title: Evening Shift Supervisor – Tray Plant (Moy)

Reporting To:Shift Manager

Hours of work: Evening Shift (1:30pm – 10:00pm)

Job Purpose:Supervision of processes and employees on a busy automated production line as per company guidelines and objectives. Reporting and liaising with the Shift Manager on all aspects of control records, work practices and staff training.

Main Responsibilities:

· Take responsibility for all staff employed in the tray plant on their shift.

· Encourage production operatives to meet or exceed production targets to improve output efficiency and support the delivery of the highest quality of products.

· Ensure that all products meet quality control standards (BRC / Customer specific requirements).

· Train new machine operators to the company standard and maintain their skills training regularly relating to all work instructions and safe work practices.

· Manage and monitor material wastage and waste reduction rework.

· Demonstrate a commitment to Health & Safety by working in a safe manner, role modelling safety behaviours, challenging unsafe practices, rectifying unsafe conditions, and escalating to other team members when support is needed.

· Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and company standards of hygiene and PPE.

· Work as part of a team, playing an active part in team and business successes. Engage with the daily challenges and opportunities and work effectively with others to overcome any issues.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Knowledge

Essential

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Desirable

· Experience in food manufacturing on a large scale.

Relevant Experience

Essential

· A minimum of 2 years previous experience in a manufacturing role.

Desirable

· Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing role.

Skills & Competencies

Essential

· Be able to meet deadlines, solve problems and be willing to assume additional responsibilities in keeping with the role.

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

· Ability to work in physically demanding environments.

· Be part of a team.

Circumstances

· Flexible to work overtime if requested.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
