Scope:
Responsible for maintaining the site facility infrastructure in a state of compliance. It must assure that facilities and related infrastructure are fit for use when needed, maintenance and reliability techniques are efficient and effective, and appropriate corrective and improvement actions are taken when necessary. Also responsible for the proper operation of the fire protection system for the site, including acting as the integrator of the fire protection, safety & security system ensuring compliance with Factory Mutual and any applicable regulation. The role will lead and supervise the implementation of special projects needed to support facility related activities and projects.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for monitoring the operations and maintenance of fire protection system. Subject matter expert for the fire protection systems.
- Liaison with factory mutual & corporate loss prevention. Lead the implementation of recommendations.
- Provide oversight to fire dept annual inspections & certification.
- Responsible for equipment/systems reliability issues & maintenance strategy with the objective of improvement.
- Responsible for technical aspects related to the system in facilities such as: Subject matter expert in Building Codes, roofing, fit & finish, elevators, etc.
- Lead Life Safety and Security Team.
- Ensure adequate lifecycle management of facilities plant assets (ex. fire protection system, elevators, infrastructure, etc.)
- Develop facilities offices recapitalization plan. Owner of Facilities Master Plan
- Manage/Lead projects related to facilities area.
- Understand mechanical equipment and controls used in facilities (Simplex, Piping, PIV’s, Risers, and all the components
- Develop scope for capital projects targeted at both short- and longer-term needs.
- Act as user representative for capital facilities projects or delivery agent for local projects.
- Responsible for the evaluation of all activities that have the potential to impact the qualified state for their system(s).
- Identify and drive improvement opportunities (procedural changes, upgrades, projects, etc.) associated with equipment & processes within the facilities.
- Engaged on communication to customers for system issues.
- Understand and follow applicable internal and external maintenance/ reliability quality policies, procedures and regulations while also ensuring compliance with Health Safety and Environmental regulations and programs.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (ex. Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, Computer)
- Experience and knowledge on reliability maintenance strategies, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methods, desirable
- Experience and knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- 3+ years of experience in bulk pharmaceutical operations experience, desirable
- 1-3 years of experience with demonstrated examples of learning agility or 1-3 years of proven experience in similar position.

- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills (mechanical, controls, others). Able to use a logical, systematic approach to problem solving.
- Good organization, interpersonal and communications skills. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize work based on business needs.
- Effective teamwork and collaboration skills
- EIT or PE license
- Active member of CIAPR
- Available to work and provide support to a 24/7 operation.
