Position Title: Planning & Logistics Director, Europe
Location: UK, Mainland Europe
Job Overview and key duties (agile):
- Accountable for end-to-end supply chain and logistics strategy, a Supply, Inventory and Operations Planning Strategy (SIOP) and a Where to Produce (WTP) strategy with maximum impact on business results in alignment with global organization objectives.
- Collaborate cross functionally to ensure consistent and reliable implementation of this strategy across our supply chain network to support the long-term business plan to ensure we maximize utilization of installed capacity and reduce costs
- Define KPI’s to measure success against these strategies (Short-, Medium- and Long-term plans), develop actions and drive the delivery with an ability to communicate progress across various levels of the organization.
- Ensure that the risks in our Supply Chain Network as it relates to the supply of Raw Materials are understood and work with the Procurement Director to build a resilient supply network through our relationships.
- Create a robust Demand Planning process, underpinned by a deep understanding of the business seasonality, production capacity constraints, inventory integrity which drives our safety stock, historical customer behavior and future customer forecasts; seek to continuously improve this process.
- Create a robust Supply plan, ensuring capacity can meet the plan and both labor needs and raw materials needs are appropriately understood and scheduled to meet the plan; seek to continuously improve this process
- Monitor actuals against plan and adjust the Demand and Supply plans accordingly
- Monitor sales forecasts to identify any effect on the supply chain, implementing waste reducing strategies and developing supply chain management procedures
- Coordinates, organizes, and oversees all activities involved during intercompany mold transfers while understanding overall cost impact of mold transfers
- Analyze and propose investments and processes that align with the organization’s business needs and oversee the preparation of budgets and proposals
- Drive significant value and growth throughout the business by executing upon an M&A growth strategy; effectively and efficiently integrate new businesses into the organization’s business system
- Drive Continuous improvement across supply chain, procurement, planning and logistics related activities and maintain all variables within the ERP system to optimize efficiency
- Oversee and manage inventory integrity and review ways to reduce inventory levels
- Provide leadership to departments under control and manage, coach and develop direct reports and manage high performing teams that deliver continuous improvement, added value and cost reductions
- Set department objectives and monitor ongoing progress and performance
- Ensure strong communication between teams under leadership to facilitate exchange of information and in order to implement change and improvements
- Ensure that all functions under supervision operate in accordance with health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety of staff and visitors
- Complete regular performance reviews, manage attendance, disciplinary issues and procedures as appropriate

Essential experience and skills:
- Related bachelor's degree, or master’s degree in a related field preferred and/or prior experience as Director of Operations, Global Planning Director, General Manager, or Managing Director
- Extensive operational experience – able to understand operational processes, customer requirements and technical attributes of the product range.
- Commercially and financially astute; experience in multisite P&L management with clear ability to forecast, manage budgets and costs.
- Results orientated with the ability to plan and prioritise multiple projects of self and others and to deliver against objectives and deadlines
- Able to successfully lead and implement change, structure, and process and take a common-sense approach to encouraging continual cultural, technological, and operational transformation.
- Experience of M&A led growth and integration with knowledge of how business is conducted on a global scale. Able to work effectively with senior leadership.
- An inspiring leader who can attract and retain the key talent for the Division. Experience leading, coaching, building teams and mentoring highly skilled and experienced direct reports.
- Comfortable working both at a strategic and a tactical level, with a demonstrated ability to be hands on and remain close to sales and operations.
- ERP experience (IFS advantageous but not essential).
- Experience in a Private Equity (PE) environment is advantageous.
- Ability to travel as needed
