CBRE Design Collective is seeking a Sr. Space Planner / Furniture Planner to support the Meta Design Studio by CBRE with experience in the following markets:
- Corporate (preferred)
- Retail (desired)
- Hospitality (desired)
This position is to be located in San Francisco.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
What you’ll do:
- The purpose of this position is to support and assist in the management of space planning projects, furniture selections and logistics, and design project support as a part of CBRE's Meta Design Studio
- Develops and drives migration and phasing plans for relocation and sequencing based on the physical space requirements.
- Leads a portion of the local and national furniture portfolio. Responsible for tool upgrades and management. Communicates recommendations in written reports and graphic presentations. Produces graphic charts and diagrams for visual display of quantitative and qualitative information. Illustrates organizational, operational and functional relationships that pose physical and spatial impacts.
- Generates conceptual solutions that respond to client’s spatial requirements, physical planning constraints and corresponding IT, HR and compliance requirements. Evaluates alternative scenarios against criteria for success. Establishes project goals and objectives, including but not limited to, schedule and budget parameters.
- Tracks, monitors and coordinates the planning and furniture process. Prepares program reports for presentation to the Client.
- Works with the entire team to incorporate analytics into appropriate reporting. Works with Planning Team to develop ad hoc scenario planning reports.
- Participates in facility project meetings. Attends meetings with Business Division representatives and facilitates discussion/programming of space requirements (headcount/growth, allocations, adjacencies, special support needs).
- Coordinates CAD based architectural and furniture plans.
- Other duties may be assigned.

- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from a four-year college or university with a Council for Interior Design Accreditation curriculum
- OR a Bachelor's Degree (B.S. or B.Arch) or Master's Degree (M.Arch) in Architecture from a four-year college or university with an accredited architectural curriculum (National Architectural Accrediting Board or Canadian Architectural Certification Board).
- 4+ years’ experience.
Additional Skills:
- NCIDQ or NCARB certification are preferred
- Relevant professional accreditations including LEED, Well, etc. are preferred.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite needed
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and construction management tools such as Procore a plus.
