Applications are invited for a PIP 2 Investigator post in Windsor.
Working as an integral part of a mixed economy team of Police Officers and staff successful applicants will manage and progress the investigation of criminal offences and other incidents/enquiries, maintaining the confidence of victims and witnesses in order to deliver successful outcomes. Your duties will include following up lines of enquiry and completing investigative actions, interviewing suspects in custody, taking statements from victims and witnesses and securing evidence and preparing case papers. You will be required to attend court to give evidence.
It is essential that you have effective communication skills with the ability to communicate with a wide audience along with proven analytical and decision making skills. You will also be self- motivated with the ability to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision.
Capability to travel across the Force is required in order to undertake assignments in a timely manner and work flexibly. Due to unsocial hours and personal safety for lone working public transport may not be suitable. For this reason a full driving licence is considered essential for this role.
