Due to increased demand and new business, we are looking for a picker/packer and part time delivery driver for our Market Rasen site.
You’ll be working as part of a team creating and delivering freshly baked goods. We’re customer focused and demand driven which requires a calm flexible approach to work, across 7 days. As we provide fresh bakery products on a daily basis, production and deliveries commence early in the morning.
The role is suited to enthusiastic, hard working, personable individuals with high levels of integrity and customer service. Nothing should ever be a problem for these individuals. A clean, full UK driving licence is essential
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivery - Responsibility for the vehicle whilst under their management. Covering shift handover inspections, ensuring road worthiness, daily defect reporting, internal hygiene and external cleanliness.
- Receiving stock, select and preparing goods for dispatch, loading and unloading trucks.
- Conducting general warehousing duties, which may include machine operation, cleaning and administration.
- Packing product to pre-determined specifications, ensuring correct labelling applied
- Working within and complying with occupational health and safety guidelines to ensure own safety and that of others
Requirements
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Experience within the food industry would be beneficial
- Understanding of food safety practices
- Excellent time-management skills
- Good accuracy and literacy for fulfilling orders and completing necessary documentation
- Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
- Team spirit, with a customer-focused attitude
- Flexibility to work across a variety of shifts to meet the business needs
- Hygiene - Equipment maintained to the highest possible hygiene standards.
- Dress Code - Maintain company standards and dress code.
- Customer Interaction - The ability to interact with customers with a positive and friendly attitude. To be able to deal with questions and queries and feeding back any relevant information to the line manager. The customer needs to feel that we’ve gone above and beyond to rectify any concerns.
- Additional Responsibilities - There may be times when your skills are utilised and required elsewhere in the business for tasks other than those identified above.
Terms:
- Salary: to be agreed & is dependent upon age and experience
- Usual Working Hours: Rota shift pattern to cover production
- As needed to suit the business needs, you will be required to work irregular hours including weekends and bank holiday. During peak periods such as Christmas, sales and other seasonal holidays, you may be required to work additional hours to support the business, these will be agreed in advance with your line manager.
- Holidays: 28 days inclusive of bank holidays pro rata to your working hours
- Pension - as per auto enrolment requirements
- Notice period: 1 week extending to 1 month after initial 3 month trial period
