Job description

An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic Physiotherapy Technical Instructor to join our Physiotherapy Inpatient Surgical team. You will manage a caseload of patients requiring physiotherapy interventions utilising shared skills where appropriate on the Surgical Wards. With support from senior staff, you will be responsible for the supervision of Physiotherapy Assistants within the team.

You may also work with the Physiotherapists to support the rehabilitation of patients on Critical Care and within the Amputee outpatient service.

The successful candidate will undertake role specific training linked to a competency framework. Weekend working will be included following a period of induction and once an appropriate level of competency is reached.

We are looking for an individual with excellent communication skills and an empathetic nature who is also organised and able to use their initiative. The ability to work flexibly and as part of a team is essential in order to provide an efficient and effective service. You will have experience as a Therapy Assistant or Technical Instructor or the ability to demonstrate relevant experience to an equivalent level.

Additionally, you will be able to evidence your continued learning and self-development in your current role.
