We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Legal Personal Assistant (Legal PA) to join our dynamic team. As a Legal PA, you will play a critical role in supporting our legal professionals in their day-to-day activities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to assigned attorneys, including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings and conference calls.
- Prepare legal documents, including correspondence, contracts, pleadings, and court filings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established formats and guidelines.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support case preparations and document drafting.
- Assist in the organization and management of legal files and documents, maintaining confidentiality and ensuring easy retrieval when needed.
- Act as a liaison between attorneys, clients, and external parties, maintaining professional and effective communication.
- Coordinate travel arrangements, accommodations, and itineraries for attorneys as required.
- Manage billing and expense tracking for assigned attorneys, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Support the coordination and preparation of court filings, including gathering supporting documentation and adhering to filing deadlines.
- Assist with document proofreading, formatting, and editing to ensure high-quality work products.
- Handle general administrative tasks, such as answering phone calls, managing correspondence, and maintaining office supplies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience working as a Legal PA, Legal Secretary, or in a similar legal support role within a law firm.
- Sound knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and document preparation.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software applications.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with attorneys, clients, and staff at all levels.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and legal case management software.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain the highest level of professionalism.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.
