Salary: £110 - £170 per day

Are you a qualified and experienced Secondary Teacher currently looking for new role?

GSL Education South Yorkshire are currently seeking to appoint an enthusiastic key stage 4 teacher for Physical Education to undertake a position at one of our client Secondary schools. The School is looking for someone who can start ASAP.

A dynamic and committed Physical Education Teacher is required to teach PE and Games throughout the school. The ability to teach across a wide range of sports is desirable as well as a strong interest. Ability to teach examined PE would also be advantageous.

About the Secondary Teaching role:

• Within the context of the school's curriculum and schemes of work, plan and teach lessons to the classes they are assigned to teach
• Possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of students as a PE Teacher.
• Be proven to raise and maintain attainment levels, keeping standards high in PE.
• Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of the school’s policies, practices and procedures in such a way as to support the school’s values, ethos and vision
• Be an enthusiastic towards physical education, highly motivated individual who leads by example.

About the Candidate:

• Be a qualified Secodary Teacher / Key Stage 4 (ideally with PGCE, GTP, B'ed, Cert Ed, BA with QTS)
• Must have previous experience as a Physical Education Teacher in a Secondary School
• Understanding of teaching, learning and assessment strategies
• Will collaborate within the PE team to contribute to the department's success
• Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills with excellent behavior management strategies.
• Must have an enhanced child workforce DBS or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education
