Job description
This role will involve being responsible for the day-to-day photography for both online and print outputs. This includes working to an exceptional standard of creativity, accuracy and technical ability, whilst adhering to tight deadlines. In this role you will be responsible for creating outstanding photographic projects and a high level of retouching to aid the delivery of campaign material.
Key areas of responsibility:
Operational Aspects
- Liaising with other departments to ensure smooth and timely workflow.
- Prioritize workload according to importance and urgency. Making sure work is executed to deadlines.
- Supporting and coaching of Junior Photographers. Giving insight and training to aid their development.
- Keep on top of emails, Trello and Teams communications.
- Ensure all photos are named correctly and filed away in the right location within the photo library and SharePoint.
Planning Aspects
- Be involved in the logistics and shoot plan for location shoots. You will produce visual mood boards and direct the creative process with valuable input together with the Brand Director.
- Work with the Senior Photographer/Studio Manager in the development and execution of seasonal catalogues and campaigns.
Content Creation
- Photographing lifestyle and listing page imagery for online and print outputs including but not limited to; website, emails, packaging, catalogue, store and cookery school graphics. Other tasks may be required from you to support and meet the business needs.
- Consistently reflect brand guidelines in your photography work. Familiar with producing photography to match a provided brief and able to create in style, high-level original content within deadlines.
- Keep abreast with new ideas, trends and technologies within the field of media. Be able to demonstrate an original and artistic creative flair.
- Ordering food props and cooking meals for recipes as required. Able to independently style shots that hero the product and recipe simultaneously.
- Provide hands-on assistance with all aspects of image creation and studio maintenance. Clean surfaces and products before shooting then pack down equipment and sets to keep space tidy.
- Aged 18+ (Handling of knives and cooking).
- Full driving licence.
- A commercial photographer with knowledge of product, lifestyle and editorial photography. Able to demonstrate a strong understanding of studio and location lighting whilst possessing a creative eye for fresh and innovative set ups.
- Must have a media qualification that includes 1 year of commercial studio experience. Or 3 years of commercial studio experience if you do not hold a media qualification.
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign and Premiere) and ability to retouch imagery.
- Excellent IT Skills with strong knowledge of Excel.
- Strong organisation skills, logical approach, and attention to detail.
- Experience of working accurately and to a high standard whilst adhering to tight deadlines.
- Working collaboratively with other in-house departments and, when requested by management, external suppliers/agencies.
- Highly organised with exceptional time management and project management skills.
- Proactive and can work well independently as well as in a team.
- Keen interest in cooking would be beneficial.

Salary: £25,000.00-£28,500.00 per year
