NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
Full and Part time post will be considered.
The shift pattern for this post is Monday to Sunday 3 x 5 hour variable shifts worked between 7am and 2pm
An opportunity has arisen to join the Phlebotomy Service covering inpatient wards within Clyde Sector.
The post holder will work as part of a team providing a venepuncture service for all specialities within both RAH and IRH sites. You will work to ensure target times are met and adhered to, for the prompt delivery of blood samples to the laboratories.
It is essential that the post holder has excellent timekeeping and communication skills, is flexible and adaptable, and can work well within in a team and also independently, while using their own initiative.
Ability and willingness to travel between both RAH and IRH sites frequently is essential for this post.
