Job description
We are seeking a Phlebotomist Healthcare Assistant to join our secondary care services based within the NHS.
As a Phlebotomist Healthcare Assistant, you will be a key point of contact for our patients, undertaking essential daily tasks to ensure that patients are adequately looked after, and their records dealt with in line with Information governance policy.
We are looking for someone with experience in collecting and processing venous blood samples and collecting personal data. You must hold a Phlebotomy qualification and have experience of working in a health/social care setting.
Healthcare assistants are an integral part of the team, they support our clinicians and Patients, without the input of our Healthcare Assistants, our clinics wouldn't be able to function properly, so if you would like to be a part of a team that really makes a difference, we would love to hear from you
As a Phlebotomist Healthcare Assistant your role will involve but will not be limited to:
Explaining to patients what will take place during their appointment.
To provide care for the patient whilst maintaining a safe and clean environment
Ensuring patient comfort, dignity and privacy are always maintained and are specific to the patients' needs
To support a high-quality clerical and clinical support service, entering patient data into computer systems, always ensuring attention to detail
Being professional, timely and reliable
Ensuring confidentiality is always adhered to
Proficient use of Computer Software Systems, Microsoft Office ( Word, Excel)
