Job description
- To use both evacuated tube blood collection and finger prick equipment to safely draw blood from patients.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment in interest of both staff, patient and health and safety regulations.
- Give clear explanations of the blood drawing process and ensure consent is obtained from the patient before the procedure is done.
- Answering patient questions regarding collection techniques and take account of the needs of individual patients.
- Providing reassurance and empathy to patients who may be nervous or scared of the procedure.
- Registering the blood sample and storing in the correct environment for collection.
- Updating patient records and keeping track of the blood sample to ensure follow-up results are given to the patient.
- To stock clinical rooms with listed requirements
- Home visiting phlebotomy for housebound patients when required
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 12 per week
Salary: From £9.49 per hour

Experience:
- Phlebotomy: 1 year (preferred)
