Job description
Rowner Health Centre are looking to recruit an experienced Phlebotomist to join our expanding clinical team. The role will require someone with excellent communication skills, enthusiasm and the ability to work on your own as well as part of the team
Main duties of the job
To ensure the patient is as comfortable and relaxed as possible and that they confirm their agreement to the collection of a blood sample
Collection of blood samples in accordance with training and procedures
Ensuring each sample is stored in appropriate containers
Accurate, legible labelling of all samples to confirm identity
Checking patient identification and confirming whenever possible
Recording collection of blood samples in a patient record in accordance with practice procedure
Ensuring the samples are dispatched to the appropriate laboratories in a timely fashion
Ensuring that anomalies are reported to a senior member of staff
Notifying the clinical team of any significant patient issues
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 25 per week
Salary: From £13,546.00 per year
