Job description

Are you a registered Pharmacy Technician who is looking for an exciting role in Primary Care?

Would you like to work with a forward thinking, supportive and positive team in a modern and spacious environment?

If your answer if yes, then Voyager Family Health would like to hear from you...

We are looking for someone to join our busy prescriptions team to work alongside our experienced Pharmacy Technician.

Working closely with other members of the medicines management and prescriptions team in processing repeat prescriptions, assisting with patient medication and repeat prescription queries, identifying and streamlining the medication review process, assisting with improving medicines optimisation and carrying out medication audits. Assisting the Clinical Pharmacist to support and guide the prescriptions team. Helping patients get the best outcomes from taking their medicines. Support the role General Practice plays in delivering the prevention and public health agenda and signpost to other health care providers such as community pharmacy. Work closely with the Patient Services Team Leader to ensure the Patient Services Team are up to date with changes to prescription team protocols and initiatives. This is a role in which the primary responsibilities may change as the service is further developed. Please note: the successful candidate will be employed by Salus Medical Services on behalf of Voyager Family Health. The role will be based at Voyager Family Health.

We are looking for the perfect person to complement our friendly team of clinicians and administrators, providing care to a growing list of over 18,000 patients. This is a great opportunity and time to join our stable, respected and forward-thinking practice.

In October 2020 we moved into new purpose designed premises and we have been steadily expanding our team ever since.

We have developed a model of care which separates out on the day/urgent care from 'routine' care. We aim to provide good access for patients with urgent problems but also provide continuity for those with more complex needs.

We have strong links with an active and forward-thinking (Farnborough) Primary Care Network and work closely together to ensure we offer a great service to our patient populations.

We are proud to be a training practice and pride ourselves on supporting our team to develop within their roles and learn new skills.

Although the largest practice in Farnborough, we are a friendly team and work hard to maintain our family atmosphere.

General Practice is hard work, but we feel that we must adapt and change to develop a sustainable model which supports our workforce. We want to provide high quality care but at the same time make general practice 'feel better' for GP's, other clinicians and our staff - after all, we couldn't do it without them!
