Due to practice expansion an opportunity has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic and service-orientated Pharmacy Technician
The ideal candidate will demonstrate confidence to contact patients and carers to provide advice and information. They will need to be able to work collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical teams to meet the needs of our patients.
Applicants are welcome from those with existing primary care of GP practice experience, or applicants that have a keen interest to develop experience in primary care medicines services. If you have the right skills and qualities, we can provide personal development and support to those new to GP practice work or primary care.
The post holder will provide primary support to general practice staff with regards to prescription and medication queries. They will help support the repeat prescriptions system, medicines reconciliation on transfer of care and systems for safer prescribing, providing expertise in clinical medicines advice
They will promote online prescription ordering and identify patients suitable for electronic repeat dispensing with the aim of increasing the use of these systems.
They will support the practice team to provide medication review services to patients via clinics in the practice, domiciliary visits and in residential and nursing homes. They will develop and maintain close links with the CCG medicines management team.
They will receive, manage and co-ordinate MHRA Alerts, patient safety bulletins, medicines recalls and information on out of stock issues etc. ensuring that all these national alerts where appropriate and within their levels of competence are acted upon. They will manage the monitoring of high risk drugs.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 30-37.5 per week
