We are looking for an enthusiastic motivated Pharmacy Technician to join the expanding Vaccine Team within the Area Stores Department (Vaccine Holding Centre) at St John’s Hospital in Livingston.

The successful candidate will be part of a hardworking, highly motivated team of staff who ensure the timely and safe supply of vaccines to assist in the delivery of the National Immunisation Programmes within locations throughout NHS Lothian and support the delivery of the medicines to The State Hospital through a Service Level Agreement. You should be an organised, flexible, enthusiastic and motivated Technician who can work under pressure to tight deadlines and enjoys interaction with other healthcare staff.

Candidates must have a SQA National Certificate in Pharmaceutical Sciences and SVQ level 3 – Pharmacy Services or have an equivalent qualification and be a member of the General Pharmaceutical Council. Support for development to willing to work towards a Designated Checking Technician certificate will be provided if needed. This is a full-time post hours (37.5 hrs) with participation in working Public Holidays. You will also be required to participate in an early opening roster and a late opening roster.
