Job description

Kingston Hospital Pharmacy are looking for a dynamic and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join us as a Senior Technician to help assist the day to day running of pharmacy stores and run an efficient and effective service. You would also be expected to deputise for the purchasing co-ordinator on an ad-hoc basis. This role will suit someone with existing hospital pharmacy experience with an interest in pharmacy stores and procurement.

You will require excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines while working in a fast paced environment.

As the senior pharmacy stores and distribution service your main duties will be deputising for the Chief Pharmacy Technician (purchasing and distribution); including managing the day to day service of the pharmacy stores service, managing to-follows, covering ward top-ups and pharmacy delivery receipting where necessary. You will be responsible for resolving ad-hoc queries, a weekly drugs critical check list, as well as assisting with month end duties. On occasion you will be expected to cover the purchasing co-ordinator where necessary.

You will also be expected to participate in late duties, weekend working and bank holidays.
