We offer our Pharmacy Technicians work with large multiples such as Boots the Chemist, Lloyds Pharmacy, Well Pharmacy, Rowlands Pharmacy, Day Lewis Pharmacy and Superdrug. We also provide work in supermarkets (Tesco pharmacy, Morrisons Pharmacy), independent pharmacies, hospital out-patient dispensaries and prisons.
Requirements
To be eligible for the role of Pharmacy Technician, you are required to hold an NVQ level 3 in Pharmacy Services and you must be registered as a Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), with a valid GPhC number.
You must have a minimum of 6 month’s experience working in a dispensary setting in the UK before we can register you for work.
Responsibilities
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for assisting licensed Pharmacists by:
- Supplying prescription and over-the-counter medications to patients
- Assembling medications to prepare prescriptions
- Providing information to inform and educate patients and other healthcare professionals
- Gathering, organising and assessing patient information and maintaining electronic patient information
- Monitoring the prescription-filling process to ensure compliance
- Liaising with healthcare providers
- Taking an inventory of drugs and placing orders for additional drugs
- Completing patient sales and transactions for over-the-counter medications
