Located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest on the Puget Sound, in Washington State, Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) is near the city of Lakewood, 10 minutes from Tacoma and 20 minutes from Olympia, the state capitol. - Receive and review prescriptions, using knowledge of general principles of pharmaceutical practices.
- Advise patients and professional medical personnel of possible adverse reactions and drug interactions.
- Inventory and reorder medications and other pharmacy supplies according to pharmacy operating requirements and procedures.
- Assign responsibilities to subordinates.
- Determine training needs and assure necessary training needs are filled.
- Prepare requests for filling vacancies and select subordinates.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience Required: One year of experience which includes filling prescriptions, distributing pharmaceuticals, utilizing pharmacy based computer systems, and supervising or training employees within a pharmacy setting.
