Overview:
Madigan Army Medical Center is seeking a Supervisory Pharmacy Tech to join our growing team! Pharmacy Technicians are vital members of the Pharmacist/Pharmacy Technician relationship in dispensing accurate and timely prescriptions to patients in a fast paced work environment. Join our Pharmily!

Located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest on the Puget Sound, in Washington State, Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) is near the city of Lakewood, 10 minutes from Tacoma and 20 minutes from Olympia, the state capitol. Responsibilities:
  • Receive and review prescriptions, using knowledge of general principles of pharmaceutical practices.
  • Advise patients and professional medical personnel of possible adverse reactions and drug interactions.
  • Inventory and reorder medications and other pharmacy supplies according to pharmacy operating requirements and procedures.
  • Assign responsibilities to subordinates.
  • Determine training needs and assure necessary training needs are filled.
  • Prepare requests for filling vacancies and select subordinates.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Who May Apply: US Citizens

Experience Required: One year of experience which includes filling prescriptions, distributing pharmaceuticals, utilizing pharmacy based computer systems, and supervising or training employees within a pharmacy setting.
