Job Description
The Dog Play Co. is looking for a dog walker / play centre assistant to join our team. We are looking for someone who is dependable, punctual, and flexible. This position is part-time with the possibility of extra hours to cover holidays etc. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and will have the ability to work with dogs of all sizes and temperaments.
You would be required to work Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 am until 2 pm and Saturdays from 9 am until 1 pm - which is a total of 12 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for the dog and its owner.
- Provide daily walks and activities with the dog.
- Clean up after each walk.
- Communicate with management on any issues that may arise from the dog's behavior or the public's comments about your walks.
- Report any accidents or injuries that may occur during walks. Report these concerns to management immediately.
- Handle emergencies appropriately while walking dogs. This could include helping with an accident and providing basic medical care if needed (e.g., cleaning wound).
Skills:
- Be able to handle a large amount of dogs at once.
- Be able to walk dogs of all sizes.
- Be able to stay calm during dog training exercises with small and/or large dogs.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 12 per week
Salary: £7.49-£10.42 per hour
