Job description
Due to continued growth and expansion, we are looking to recruit a new member of staff to join our friendly and passionate dog Training Centre. A rare opportunity for a hardworking, reliable, honest, genuine dog lover who is also looking to potentially develop their learning and skills.
· Previous professional experience training puppies or dogs, experience in a similar role or within another animal-based establishment.
· Customer Service experience.
· The instructor will be required to work independently, as well as with our other Trainers and Head Trainer.
· A full UK Driving License and use of your own vehicle is required.
· An interest in undertaking further training and continuing professional development (CPD).
Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual sessions for dogs of various breeds and ages, focusing on obedience, behaviour modification, and socialisation.
- Develop customised training plans based on the specific needs and goals of the dog using positive reinforcement and reward-based techniques.
- Assess and evaluate dog behaviour, identifying any underlying issues or challenges and providing appropriate training solutions.
- Educate dog owners on effective training methods, handling techniques, and canine behaviour, empowering them to continue training after their residential stay has finished.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, training methods, and research in dog behaviour.

Desirable Criteria
· A degree, diploma or other qualification in animal behaviour, welfare or other similar area. (Priority will be given to such candidates)
· A member of, or certification with an awarding Training or Behaviour body,
· Home Training Visits are a possibility for suitably experienced candidates.
· The role will also include elements of cleaning to ensure health and hygiene, and other tasks as applicable.
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: £11.00-£15.00 per hour
