Job description
We are looking for a new member to join our team of passionate animal-enthusiasts - you must be presentable, reliable, flexible and confident around a wide range of animals with an ability to think on your feet.
Your duties will include caring for our livestock (small mammals, fish, birds, reptiles, insects and arachnids) which involves feeding, cleaning out, providing enrichment, monitoring health, taking and documenting UV / temperature readings and water testing. A large part of this role is communicating with and advising our customers, generating sales, organising stock and deliveries.
Training will be given but some personal or industry experience with both animals and retail is essential to this position.
Hours include weekend work and the starting salary is minimum wage - this will increase when stages of training are achieved.
Successful candidates will be required to carry out a short trial period to fit around current work commitments.
