We are an independant general firm of insurance brokers, est 1965. Operating out of four offices in England and Wales.
We are currently employing 28 people with ambitious growth plans. We are looking for like minded individuals to join our face paced growing team.
The role has responsibility for generating revenue and developing the profitability of the business whilst ensuring full FCA compliance in all aspects of personal lines insurance and as an agency of Yorkshire Building Society. Ensuring a quality service is provided to all clients in accordance with their needs and requirements. The role will fundamentally start to enable you to gain a full understanding and learning of the running of the office on a day to day basis which is essential for the business operations.
Duties and responsibilities:
· Ensure accuracy, efficiency and professionalism when dealing with both client and insurer in all aspects of the role:
o New business
o Renewals
o Mid Term Adjustments
o Claims
o Queries
o Premium financing arrangements
o Cover note issuance
· Advising clients on existing products in accordance with their needs
· Ensure bad debt queries are dealt with efficiently and in line with company procedure.
· Ensure all business activity fully complies with FCA regulation and company procedures as detailed in the Conduct Polices and Guides to Best Practice.
· Handle any complaints in accordance with regulation, the Company’s Conduct Policy and Guide to Best Practice.
· Conduct learning, training and assessment exercises in accordance with the individual T&C scheme applicable to you. Identify further areas for own development as required.
· Achieve and maintain a high level of customer service and promote exceptional customer care standards at all times.
· Develop and maintain a professional working relationship with all clients and provide expert product advice and guidance
· Actively secure renewal business by re-broking existing business to ensure the client is presented with the most suitable and cost-effective cover.
· Promote and increase the use of in-house premium finance, from insurer schemes.
· Keeping up to speed with YBS procedure and training.
· Helping clients on a non-advised basis at the counter and during private face to face meetings in the office.
· Understanding tax efficient savings.
· Withdrawing and receipting large sums of money.
· Opening and closing accounts.
· Keeping up top date with all of the Yorkshire Building Society’s compulsory training – this part is mandatory as non-completion could result in suspension of user licence.
Key performance indicators:
· Ensure all Key Performance Indicators are achieved (new business, renewals, cross selling) and are attained compliantly with FCA regulation.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
